2018 -  This shiny new industrial grade ice maker was  recently funded by the Hillgrove Foundation for the Hillgrove Athletic Department.   The icemaker will be used for physical education classes as well as athletic teams.   It will provide much needed ice for PE classes, team practices, and games.

2017 -  With grant money provided by the Hillgrove Foundation, Hillgrove’s Spanish 7 students were able to write and publish a Spanish language children’s book.    The stories were written by the Spanish 7 students and the art was a collaborative effort with Hillgrove art students.  The book was distributed to over 100 Spanish-speaking students in the Powder Springs community.  The students hosted a book launch party, then presented and read their book to students in the Dual-Language Emersion program at Mableton Elementary and at Shop with a Hawk.  Copies of the book were also sent to the libraries of the elementary schools that feed Hillgrove.  With hard work from the students and financial support from the Hillgrove Foundation, the project was a rousing success.
